The MPL-MY/SG qualifiers are over. Over 1000 teams from both Malaysia and Singapore battled for 4 coveted spots in the regular season which will begin on 1 March 2019. As we wait for the season to begin, let’s meet the teams.

Xpax X-Assins

Malaysian underdogs Xpax X-Assins just qualified to MPL Season 3 and this is their first time joining the premier Mobile Legends league for Malaysian and Singaporean teams. AX, previously known as Jinn formerly played for MPL Season 2 champions – Saiyan Reborn (now Team Reborn). He left the squad without playing a single game during the playoffs and now he aims to help the newcomers Xpax X-Assins to victory this season.

1. This is your first time joining MPL, How do you feel about it?

We are very excited and happy to join MPL this season. We are very anxious to see how we perform in the regular season. As you say, we are the underdog team, but we hope we can do well. The key thing for us is to not be intimidated by our opponents.

2. Tell us your history as a team?

We were previously called MYA JUNIOR. After the old team members left, we had to find new talented players. All in all, it took us 5 months to build a proper team. A few months after forming the team, we managed to place in the top 1-3 in every tournament that we participated. Then surprisingly, Xpax approached us and gave us good benefits. That’s how we became Xpax X-Assins.

3. Jinn was previously playing for Season 2 champion Team Reborn, why did he swap teams?

His contract finished with Reborn and Jinn decided to move forward with a new team. We found out and invited him to join us. And he said yes! We are sure that his experience will be helpful for us.

4. Which Malaysian and Singaporean teams are the strongest in MPL? Why?

I think Flash Tyrants, now known as Resurgence are the strongest. That’s because they really improved a lot compared to other teams. We hope Resurgence will give us a good fight this season.

5. What is your target this season?

As the underdogs, we just want to do our best this season. But at the least, we want to make it into the playoffs.

6. What do you think about team champion Reborn? Can they defend the title this season?

As what we can see in every season the champion is changing if Reborn can maintain the performances from season 2 playoff, yes of course they can defend the title.

7. How do you guys prepare for MPL S3?

We have been training for 4 hours a day to prepare for the MPL regular season.

8. Which hero will the most contested in MPL? Why?

Definitely GROCK. He is one of the tanks that can be immune to stuns or crowd control (cc) skills. We will try and get Grock every match because it would synergize with our strategy.

9. What do you think about NARA eSports – the Singaporean underdog team?

NARA eSports have one of player called Fenrir and he was a professional Mobile Legends player in Indonesia with Team Oniq. They are definitely strong and we won’t underestimate them.

10. Message to Singaporean teams?

Hey Singaporean teams, we hope you give us a good fight and bring out your best performance because we won’t go easy on you guys!
