The MPL-MY/SG qualifiers are over. Over 1000 teams from both Malaysia and Singapore battled for 4 coveted spots in the regular season which will begin on 1 March 2019. As we wait for the season to begin, let’s meet the teams.

ICON MY

Last season ICON MY was placed 7th-8th after losing to AirAsia Saiyan, they faced bad luck during the playoffs and it really frustrated the team. This season they are made a comeback by qualifying through the Malaysia qualifier and are eager to take the title for themselves.

1) How do you feel after qualifying for MPL Season 3?

We are happy to qualify for the third time in a row. All our hard work and sweat was worth it after all as we advanced to the regular season. We have shown lots of potential, but have yet to fully deliver. We are now here to claim the title!

2)What sort of preparation are is ICON making for the Regular Season?

We are still in 7/10 in our preparation for MPL because we still need to improve on a number of things, especially in terms of our gameplay and our synchronisation as a team. Communication is key in a fast-paced, team-based game like Mobile Legends so that’s our priority – having everyone have the same kind of thinking.

3) In your opinion, which Singaporean team is the strongest? Why?

In my opinion, Evos Esports SG is still the strongest Singaporean team at the moment. They removed one player, and brought back Kid. So we’re expecting their performance to maintain at a very high level.

4) What do you think about the Singaporean new team NARA esports?

We have heard about them and we should be aware of this new team because most of the Singaporean teams are very strong.

5) What heroes do you think will be the most contested?

Grock, Harith, Kimmy and Chou are the heroes we think will be most contested in MPL because these heroes have a very high impact right from the start of the game. We will definitely take advantage of these heroes, furthermore, Syno is one of the best Chou players in the world!

6) What would you like to say to the Singaporean teams?

BE READY FOR OUR COMEBACK IN THIS MPL BECAUSE WE ARE GONNA CLAIM THE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE!
